I'm a film photographer with a simple problem: every time I planned a trip, I wanted to know what a particular film stock would actually look like in a specific place.

Not in a studio, or a YouTube review, or a handful of random sample images scattered across the internet.

I wanted to see real photographs from real trips.

Would Ultramax work well in the deep greens of Mount Rainier? How would Flic Film 250D handle the reds and oranges of Zion? Is Portra worth bringing to Joshua Tree?

I found myself spending hours searching for answers and rarely finding exactly what I was looking for.

So I started building the resource I wished existed.

This website is a growing collection of film stock reviews, trip reports, and galleries from locations I've personally photographed. Each article focuses on how a specific film performed in a real-world environment, with sample images and observations from the field.

My goal isn't to tell you which film is objectively "best" because there is no such thing. Instead, it's to provide enough visual information that you can decide which film is right for your own trip and creative vision.

Everything featured here was photographed on film, shot in real conditions, and selected from my personal travels.

If you're planning a trip, researching a film stock, or simply enjoy seeing how different emulsions render the world, I hope you find something useful here.
